BioI find myself in the daily position of perpetual rant so thought that letting it all out on a regular blog would relieve some pressure and stop me from wanting to punch people systematically throughout the week.
Activities: Teaching and drinking, the two go hand in hand.Interests:Travel, travel travel, can't wait to see more of the world.
Walking, cycling, camping, cooking, travelling, reading anything and of course films!!!
I am obsessed by anything to do with Stephen Fry!Favourite
Music:A very wide range, mainly rock. Fave band is U2, fave performer is Frank Sinatra, The Black Crowes, Pearl Jam, Kings of Leon, Nina Simone, Bic Runga, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stoneage, Rufus Wainwright, Stone Temple Pilots. The Killers, Muse, Jose Gonzalaz, Anthony and The Johnsons and Jeff Buckley.
Favourite TV Programmes:All kinds of comedy from The League of Gentleman to Alan Partridge. Anything involving Steve Leonard and the mighty Jonathan Ross. Love Spaced, Shooting Stars, Dinner For Five, 24, The Sopranos, Shameless and The Fast Show. I am currently addicted to House.Favourite
Films:Anything by Hitchcock and most films by M Night Shamaylan, David Lynch and Lean, Paul Haggis and Peter Weir. 1940s/50s musicals, any Bette Davis films, (there isn't a bad one!) Any Jimmy Stewart or Robert Shaw films, Love Claude Rains and Johnny Depp!Favourite
Books:Again, hard to categorise. Fave book is The Master and Marguerita by Mikail Bukakov, love Albert Camus, (must read more of him). Love George Orwell and Margaret Atwood. Fave dramatists are John Osbourne, Harold Pinter, Samuel Beckett and Sarah Kane. Fave poets are Ted Hughes, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Walt Whitman. Other bods I like reading are Vladimir Nabokov, Hector Hugh Munro, Kafka and Bruno Shultz. Need to read more of Jack Kerouac and Kurt Vonnegut
